The encoder converts the angular displacement or the linear displacement into an electrical signal. The former is called a code plate and the latter is called a yardstick. According to the readout mode, the encoder can be divided into contact type and non-contact type. the working principle, the encoders can be divided into two types: incremental encoders and absolute encoders. The incremental encoder converts the displacement into a periodic electrical signal, and then converts the electrical signal into a counting pulse, representing the displacement by the number of pulses. Each position of the absolute encoder corresponds to a certain number code, so its indication value is only relevant to the starting and ending positions of the measurement, and has nothing to do with the intermediate process of measurement.
